Ayahuasca is a traditional drink from Amazonian people, in their worldview the ayahuasca is the rope, which allows the spirit to leave the body without it dying, a conection with the nature and our roots.
The work reflects my interest in nature, ancestral imagery and translating symbolic ideas into visual form. I developed the image through digital illustration inspired by nature and the ancestral traditions of Amazonian communities. Drawing on the symbolic world associated with the plant, the artwork offers a visual interpretation of perception, transformation and our connection with the natural environment.
